FIABCI-Ghana Officially Launched, Strengthening Federation’s Presence in Africa
FIABCI has officially welcomed Ghana as its newest national chapter, marking a significant milestone in the Federation’s continued expansion and strengthening its presence across Africa.
The official launch and inauguration of FIABCI-Ghana took place under the theme “Beyond the Individual,” bringing together representatives from the international real estate community, Ghanaian public institutions, professional associations, academia, the diplomatic corps, and the wider built environment sector.
A delegation from FIABCI led by Secretary General Narek Arakelyan attended the event to represent and support the Federation, including Antonio Campagnoli, Immediate Past World President; Adele Adeniji and Gbenga Ismail, Board Members; Akin Opatola, 1st Vice-President of the World Council of Managers; and Ayodeji Odeleye, President of FIABCI-Nigeria, among other representatives.
The establishment of FIABCI-Ghana builds on collaboration among key stakeholders in Ghana’s real estate sector. The initiative has been supported by the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) and the Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association (GREPA), alongside academic institutions, public-sector organizations, and the Ministry of Works and Housing.
The participation of Hon. Gizella Tetteh Agbotui, MP, Deputy Minister of Works and Housing, as well as representatives of public institutions, the diplomatic community, and professionals from across the real estate and built environment sectors, reflected the importance of the occasion for Ghana’s property and development industries.
The launch also received a message of support from Hon. Nabakooba Judith, Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development of Uganda, highlighting the broader regional significance of the initiative and the growing cooperation among FIABCI members and real estate professionals across Africa.
Dr. James Orleans-Lindsay, Founding President of FIABCI-Ghana, and Victoria Osey Sampah, Founding First Vice-President, were among those recognized for their leadership in establishing the new chapter, alongside the founding executives and members of the Board of Directors.
The launch of FIABCI-Ghana represents another step in the Federation’s efforts to promote international cooperation, professional exchange, and stronger connections within Africa’s real estate and built environment sectors.
With its new national chapter, FIABCI-Ghana is expected to contribute to the Federation’s growing network across the continent while creating new opportunities for Ghanaian professionals to engage with FIABCI’s global community.
