FIABCI-Malaysia: Discovery Tour to NS Bluescope

FIABCI-Malaysia successfully organised a technical site visit to NS BlueScope Malaysia’s Kapar Plant on 8th August 2025 to provide members with an in-depth understanding of steel manufacturing processes and innovations in coated steel products. The visit commenced with registration and welcoming at 8:30am, followed by a mandatory safety induction to ensure all participants were briefed on plant safety protocols.
Participants were then introduced to “The Steel Journey”, an engaging presentation detailing the steel production process, applications, and BlueScope’s product range, highlighting its relevance to the building and construction industry.
The highlight of the morning was a guided plant tour, offering members a firsthand view of the operations within the facility. Attendees observed the plant’s advanced manufacturing systems, sustainable practices, and commitment to quality.
