FIABCI Prix d´Excellence Germany: Secretary of State Adler assumes the patronage of the special prize

"Sustainable, innovative and at the same time affordable to build: Given the current political environment, project developers today are facing the challenge of making the impossible possible. Therefore, we are delighted that Gunther Adler, Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Construction and Homeland again has taken the patronage for the "FIABCI / BFW Special Award for Affordable Construction"!” Andreas Ibel, BFW President and member of the jury, announced today in Berlin.

"The FIABCI Prix d'Excellence Germany recognizes projects that exemplify a wide variety of modern building requirements and has been established as an important platform for the real estate industry," said Gunther Adler, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Construction. "That's why I am happy to take the patronage for the special prize for affordable construction." The housing shortage in the metropolitan areas shows that this prize is on the pulse of time."

"Achieving the greatest possible energy efficiency is one of the biggest challenges for project developers," added Michael Heming, President FIABCI Germany. "That's why we launched another prize, the" Vattenfall Special Award for Energy.” The two additional prize categories underline the goals of our competition: We want to promote synergies between the construction industry, building culture, politics and society, encourage dialogues and inspire innovative sustainable building."

In the competition organized by FIABCI Germany and the BFW Bundesverband Freier Immobilien- und Wohnungsunternehmen (Federal Association of Independent Real Estate and Housing Companies), outstanding project developments in the categories of commercial and residential properties are awarded nationwide. The award ceremony will take place on 2 November 2018 as part of a festive gala in the Hotel Adlon in Berlin.

The FIABCI Prix d'Excellence, launched 25 years ago by the International Real Estate Federation FIABCI, is considered one of the most prestigious prizes for project development worldwide. In cooperation with FIABCI and the BFW, the prize was initiated in 2013 in Germany, making it the first and only nationwide competition for project developments in the categories of commercial and residential real estate.
