

FIABCI Trade Mission Transforms Rome into a Global Real Estate Hub
FIABCI successfully concluded its International Trade Mission: RE KEY Italy 2025, transforming Rome into a hub for cross-border dialogue, innovation, and collaboration in the real estate sector. In over three days, more than 400 participants from 40 countries gathered to explore opportunities in investment, sustainability, urban regeneration, and architectural innovation.
A Convergence of Academia, Business, and Culture
From Sapienza University to Villa Astaldi, and from the luminous Lanterna di Fuksas to the avant-garde Romeo Roma Hotel, the mission blended professional learning, networking, and cultural immersion. Distinguished guests included diplomats, parliamentarians, and business leaders, such as Mohamed Ali Al-Shihi (Tunisian Embassy in Rome), Erma Rheindrayani and Edwin Rahardian (Indonesian Embassy), Giuseppe Bicchielli and Mariastella Gelmini (Italian Parliament), and institutional leaders including Francesco Masera (CDP Cassa Depositi e Prestiti), Stefano Scalera (INVIMIT), Jacopo Palermo (The European House – Ambrosetti), Lorenzo Tagliavanti (Chamber of Commerce of Rome), Pier Andrea Chevallard (Confcommercio Roma), Luca Bertalot (EMF-ECBC), and Mariangela Siciliano (SACE).
Day 1: "Renaissance of the City"
FIABCI’s International Trade Mission started with a professional conference program, held in collaboration with CTV Roma under the theme “Renaissance of the City” at the prestigious Sapienza University, a true reflection of the Federation's commitment to Academic Members and the importance of continuous education and knowledge sharing.
The FIABCI Associations Panel showcased collaboration across Europe with leaders from FIMAA Roma Confcommercio, TEGOVA, ASPESI, Cobaty Italia, RICS, ISIVI, AssoGentile, and E-Valuations Istituto di Estimo e Valutazioni, promoting transparency, ethics, and international cooperation.
Keynotes included:
- Massimo Ruscio (DUAL Italy): Innovation and legal certainty
- Fabrizio Rampazzo (BLUE FACTORY): Public-private partnerships as drivers of urban regeneration
- Olga Royenko (voice of space): Strategic approaches to spatial impact in real estate
FIABCI also held its Board of Directors Meeting and the inaugural Vision 2035 Strategic Planning Workshop, establishing long-term priorities for the Federation.
Day 2: Culture, Networking, and Awards
The second day began with an exclusive private sunrise tour of the Vatican Museums, offering participants a unique cultural experience with exclusive early access.
At La Lanterna di Fuksas, the Trade Mission’s professional core unfolded with PechaKucha-style project pitches and thematic sessions covering investment, sustainability, smart buildings, and hospitality. The introduction of an AI-powered B2B platform – RE KEY enabled 150+ targeted meetings, fostering meaningful connections among developers, investors, architects, and innovators.
The day concluded with an Award Ceremony, honoring excellence across multiple categories:

Day 3: Inspiring Study Tours
The final day offered study tours of landmark projects, including the Romeo Roma Hotel, merging historic architecture with avant-garde design by Zaha Hadid, and Villa Astaldi, a 20th-century architectural gem presented by ARX Asset Management. These tours showcased innovative approaches to urban development.
