PropTech meets Real Estate in Study Trip to Barcelona
On 23 March, FIABCI members from Austria, Switzerland, and Germany travelled to Barcelona, Spain for a study trip on the topic of PropTech, a catch-all term used to describe innovative tech tools real estate professionals apply to address the needs of the industry. In total, 40 participants attended the business programme on Thursday.
The event was jointly organised by the Austrian and Spanish Chapters of the International Real Estate Federation, in collaboration with the Austrian PropTech Initiative (APTI) and API Catalunya (Col·legis i Associació d'Agents Immobiliaris de Catalunya), Spain's largest real estate association and Principal Member of FIABCI-España. The main goal of this study trip was to share information, insights, and the latest trends with a focus on disruptive digitisation and real estate technologies in these respective markets.
Presented and moderated by API General Director Anna Puigdevall and API Services Director Sheila Gracia Ramos, who exchanged views on current trends in the PropTech world, the conference was well attended not only by members but also by other like-minded real estate professionals interested in improving themselves and rethinking real estate services. Rafat Chabaane, president of the FIABCI World Council of PropTech, was also in attendance.
In addition to the professional programme, delegates had the opportunity to explore the world-famous Lindt Chocolate Museum in an exclusive and private visit organised for FIABCI members only.
