Remembering FIABCI World President 2024-2025 Ramón Riera

It is with profound sorrow that FIABCI announces the passing of our World President 2024–2025, Ramón Riera. On behalf of the FIABCI Board of Directors, Past World Presidents, Chapter Leadership, the General Secretariat, and the entire FIABCI community, we extend our deepest condolences to his family during this very difficult time.
Ramón’s life was a remarkable testament to courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication to FIABCI. For several years, he bravely faced a battle with cancer. Yet even in the most challenging moments, his commitment to our federation never wavered. Against medical advice, he continued to fulfill his responsibilities—visiting chapters, meeting partners, and personally attending the most recent World Real Estate Congress in Lagos, Nigeria. His tireless devotion and sense of duty inspired all who had the privilege to work alongside him.
Throughout his distinguished career, Ramón made extraordinary contributions to FIABCI. He served as President of FIABCI-España, President of the FIABCI European Committee, and as a member of the FIABCI Board of Directors before assuming the office of World President in 2024. In recognition of his exceptional service, he was awarded the FIABCI Medal of Honor in 2015. His vision, leadership, and relentless support strengthened our federation at every level, leaving a lasting mark on both our international initiatives and our local chapters.
While we mourn the loss of a remarkable leader, colleague, and friend, we also celebrate the extraordinary legacy Ramón leaves behind. His selfless service, courage, and dedication to FIABCI’s mission will continue to inspire generations of members worldwide.
Our thoughts are with his family during this time of grief. His life’s work and contributions to FIABCI will never be forgotten.
