FIABCI-Taiwan hosted this year’s last Morning Talk
Following the success of its previous Morning Talk events in Taipei and Taichung, FIABCI-Taiwan concluded its final Morning Talk of the year in the beautiful city of Kaohsiung, where the 2022 FIABCI Global Leadership Summit was previously held. The event featured Mr. Jack Chen, co-founder of JaClaire Design, who shared his insights on creating atmosphere within a space and how this process can help developers craft compelling narratives through effective branding, interior design, art displays, and the establishment of space identity.
Mr. Chen likened the creation of a successful space identity to curating an exhibition. Beyond the essential aspects of design and construction, he emphasized the critical role of atmosphere in enhancing the connection between people and buildings. According to him, elements such as colors, scents, sounds, and symbols are vital to storytelling, enabling architectural concepts to become tangible and relatable for end users.
Through his approach to simple yet impactful design, Mr. Chen effectively translated the architects’ visions into experiences that are accessible and meaningful to those who live in and interact with the spaces. His ultimate goal is to establish space identities that resonate deeply with people.
Attendees were thoroughly impressed by Mr. Chen’s work and the innovative ideas he presented during this concise yet enriching breakfast meeting. The event served as a fitting conclusion to FIABCI-Taiwan’s 2024 Morning Talk series, leaving participants inspired and eager for future discussions.
