  • International participation continued to grow, reaching 37%, compared to 25% in 2025, with delegations from 40 countries.
  • The SIMA programme featured 300 speakers and 120 sessions covering affordable housing, investment, public-private partnerships, global markets, new living models and innovation.
  • The next edition of the Exhibition will take place from 26 to 29 May 2027, further consolidating its role as a leading international meeting point for the real estate sector.

SIMA, The Global Hub of Living, has concluded its 27th edition with record attendance and a new peak in international participation, reinforcing its position as one of the leading global meeting points for the residential sector.

The event, promoted and organised by Planner Exhibitions, welcomed more than 22,000 visitors, a 5% increase compared to 2025; over 9,000 professionals and investors, up 6% year-on-year; and 390 exhibitors, partners and collaborators, representing a 10% increase on the previous edition.

With more than 5,500 companies represented, the 2026 edition has strengthened SIMA’s role as a leading platform connecting supply, demand, investment, knowledge and innovation around the key challenges of the residential market.

Over four days, SIMA brought together the entire value chain of the sector, including public authorities, developers, investment funds, consultancies, sales agencies, valuation firms, operators and technology companies, as well as end buyers and private investors.

SIMA 2026 also reached a new milestone in its global projection, with international participation rising to 37%, compared to 25% in 2025, with delegations from 40 countries. These figures confirm the event’s global dimension and reinforce Spain’s position as a key connection point between the domestic real estate market and international investment and development opportunities.

As Eloy Bohúa, CEO of Planner Exhibitions, highlights:
“SIMA has reaffirmed its position as a leading platform where the national and international residential sector analyses its challenges, anticipates trends and activates opportunities. SIMA has consolidated itself as a strategic asset for companies, investors and public administrations by energising the real estate ecosystem, supporting decision-making, fostering dialogue and driving investment. It is a platform that goes beyond the national scope, connecting investment, development and innovation on a global scale.”

More than 500 residential projects and a diverse offering

The 2026 edition showcased more than 500 national and international real estate projects, consolidating its position as the largest residential showcase in the market. Key areas included Madrid city and its metropolitan area, as well as developments along the coast and in inland provinces.

International supply also played a significant role, with projects in destinations such as the Dominican Republic, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Paraguay, Venezuela, Portugal, Poland and the United Arab Emirates, among others. This diversification enabled buyers, private investors and professionals to access a broad view of the residential market in a context where housing remains central to the economic, social and institutional agenda.

SIMA 2026 was supported by a broad ecosystem of exhibiting companies, partners and collaborators, including leading national and international players whose participation was key to strengthening SIMA’s positioning as a space for innovation, networking and opportunity generation.

A professional programme focused on the main challenges of the living sector

SIMA 2026 strengthened its professional dimension through a range of forums focused on analysing key trends and challenges in the residential sector, featuring 300 speakers across more than 120 sessions.

SIMAPRO International Living Conference structured its content around five main pillars: Affordable Housing & Private Investment, Living Investors Day, Asset Class Insights, Global Living Markets and Technology & Innovation.

This programme was complemented by the Private Investor Forum and the agenda developed by the Dominican Republic as Guest Country, reinforcing SIMA’s ability to connect professional, institutional, business and investor profiles around the key pillars of the living sector.

This comprehensive programme enabled SIMA to address the sector’s main challenges, including access to housing, capital mobilisation, public-private collaboration, the evolution of residential asset classes, the internationalisation of capital and the technological transformation of the real estate business.

An event with greater international reach

The participation of the Dominican Republic as Guest Country was one of the key milestones of this edition. The country was represented by more than 50 companies and institutions, presenting their strategic projects and a legal and fiscal framework aimed at attracting international investment.

Alongside the Dominican Republic, the presence of companies, investors, associations and delegations from Europe, the Americas and the Middle East reinforced SIMA’s global character as a platform connecting international investment, real estate development and new opportunities.

ASPRIMA-SIMA Awards reaffirm their position as a key industry reference

As part of SIMA 2026, the 23rd edition of the ASPRIMA-SIMA Awards, organised by ASPRIMA and Planner Exhibitions, was also held. The awards once again highlighted their role as a leading standard of excellence, innovation and social responsibility within the Spanish real estate sector. This edition, which received 124 entries and was judged by nearly 100 experts, brought together more than 500 industry professionals at the awards ceremony held during the Exhibition.

Following a record-breaking edition, marked by strong attendance, growing international participation and a professional agenda focused on the key challenges of the living sector, SIMA 2026 once again underscored the strength and appeal of the Spanish residential market, as well as the sector’s ability to expand housing supply, improve access to housing and support urban transformation.

SIMA will hold its next edition from 26 to 29 May 2027, once again bringing together leading national and international players in the real estate sector and consolidating its role as a leading platform to analyse market challenges, anticipate trends and create new opportunities for investment, development and innovation.
