Important announcement: Strategic Plan 2021-2025, Updates on Global Projects and Events

This Thursday, July 1^st, FIABCI Secretary-General Narek Arakelyan shared an important update on several issues ranging from the launch of the Strategic Plan 2021-2025 to more information regarding global projects and events currently in the pipeline. Speaking about the partial building collapse in Miami, the Secretary-General shared a message of comfort to the families, relatives, and friends of the victims, and ensured the organization’s full support: “FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, ensures its full support to FIABCI-USA, its Greater Miami Council and the American people in providing international experts to undergo a deep investigation regarding the causes and a full assessment of the situation.”

Strategic Plan 2021-2025

The first important update announced by the FIABCI Secretary-General concerned the launch of the new Strategic Plan 2021-2025, which has been initiated by World President Jordi Ribó, with the support of the World President-Elect Susan Greenfield and the Board of Directors. The roadmap, Narek Arakelyan added, will be prepared by the Strategic Planning Committee, and presented during the MIPIM September edition on September 7^th, 2021, in Cannes, France.

Global Projects

There are several global projects in the pipeline for all FIABCI Members and Partners, within the context of the five goals determined by the Board of Directors:

A networking application, created in cooperation with our Partner Bundeling, with whom FIABCI has recently signed an agreement;
An inclusive education platform (SKILMI);
A high-level real estate designation;
A rebranded FIABCI website.

40^th FIABCI Global Leadership Summit 2021

The Secretary-General informed that, due to the current circumstances related to the global outbreak, FIABCI-Mexico will unfortunately not be able to proceed with the organization of the 40^th FIABCI Leadership Summit 2021 in Puerto Vallarta.

“On behalf of our Federation, we thank the leadership of FIABCI-Mexico for their commitment and hard work. We hope that they can host another FIABCI global event very soon.”, he said.

The Summit will, therefore, happen in a virtual format from November 30^th to December 3^rd, 2021. The General Assembly will be held on December 3^rd, Narek Arakelyan added, and the application process for the electronic elections will be launched at the beginning of September.

41^st FIABCI Global Leadership Summit 2022

Regarding the 41^st FIABCI Global Leadership Summit 2022, the Secretary-General announced that FIABCI-Taiwan will be granted the possibility to organize the event in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, from December 7^th to 9^th, 2022. Narek Arakelyan then thanked the leadership of FIABCI-Singapore, who also submitted an application to organize the summit: “We are grateful to the FIABCI-Singapore leadership for their engagement and a high-quality application. We are sure that there will be another opportunity to host a FIABCI Global Event in Singapore.”

MIPIM September Edition 2021

Finally, Secretary-General Narek Arakelyan highlighted FIABCI’s participation in the MIPIM September Edition, happening from September 7^th to 8^th, in Cannes, France. As it is customary, he added, FIABCI Members enjoy special benefits such as complimentary passes, special rates for accreditation, exhibition area, and other turnkey services. All interested FIABCI Members are invited to reach out to their respective Chapters as well as the FIABCI General-Secretariat to join the FIABCI International Delegation at MIPIM.
