On June 20,1995, the School of Law of the Fribourg University launched the Swiss Law Institute. It did so in order to secure the continuity of Professor Peter Gauch’s seminar on construction law, the content of which contributed to the fine reputation of the Université de Fribourg. It consists notably of the traditional Construction Law Days.
The Institute pursues the following goals
- To promote scientific and interdisciplinary research on all the legal aspects of construction
- To offer and coordinate courses on these subjects
- To promote cooperation with other universities, in Switzerland and abroad
- To assume any other task useful to reaching the above goals.
