The University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt was the first institution of its kind in Austria which – starting in 1998 – offered a study programme in real estate. Since 2004 it has offered bachelor as well as master studies in the area of business consultancy-real estate management. This university has a network of around 60 partner universities. The basic groundwork of this programme is multifaceted. It consists of international lecturers from around the world with practical and research orientation as well as comprehensive case studies, applied research and open lectures. Essential leadership and management functions are also taught within the programme. Main areas include valuation, portfolio management, maintenance, investment and financing as well as the development of real estate. Finally, the programme also teaches economic, technical, legal, environmental and social aspects.
