FIABCI Winter Business Meetings Takes Place in Brussels, Belgium

A very successful FIABCI Winter Business Meetings, which were hosted by the FIABCi-Belgique Chapter.  The event provided an excellent forum for members to participate in FIABCI business and contribute to the discussion of international real estate.  It also provided an opportunity to meet and network with key influential professionals from all fields of the global real estate marketplace.
The official FIABCI agenda, while condensed, was robust and included conferences and meetings for all FIABCI World Councils and Committees as well as working sessions, the General Assembly and networking and marketing opportunities for members to showcase their properties and services on a global basis.

Among the many highlights which took place during the meetings, included the approval of three new Chapters to FIABCI; FIABCI elections in which new FIABCI leaders were selected; an informative breakfast meeting with presentations by keynote speakers  Frederik De Graeve, Tax Adviser/Partner and Koenraad De Bie of Grant Thornton Tax & Legal.  During the General Assembly each FIABCI Committee and Council presented their two recommendations and goals which they intend to accomplish by the FIABCI World Congress in May.

Attendees were invited to a beautiful gala dinner and surprise musical performance which has held in the prestigious theatre of the Plaza Hôtel.  The Hotel “Le Plaza” Brussels is an Art Deco palace built between 1928 and 1931. Its exceptional Theatre was originally a movie theatre simply called “Le Plaza.”  It is an extraordinary neo baroque décor, inspired by the Spanish Renaissance, very much in fashion in the US movie theatres at the time.
