The forum is organized by the Latvian Real Estate Association LANIDA, Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association LNTP and a number of Estonian developers’ companies with the support of FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation.

Topics discussed during the forum will include:  ·         Particularities For National Real Estate Development·         Development Of Extraordinary Projects·         Area Revival·         Historic Heritage Renovation·         Re-Development·         Major Trends In Urban Planning And Development (Riga, Tallinn,        Vilnius)·         Innovative Technologies In Real Estate Development·         Issues Important To Baltic States Developers  In addition to approximately 200 real estate professionals from the three Baltic states, FIABCI Europe Regional President  Antonio Campagnoli and the FIABCI World Council of Developers and Investors President Telman Abbasov will participate in the real estate developers’ conference as “Guests of Honour” in Riga this autumn.

One of the many highlights during the forum which will take place is our local Prix d’Excellence awards program.  Development projects will be nominated for the Prix d’Excellence awards, a  highly prestigious honor that recognizes development that best embody excellence in all the real estate disciplines involved in its creation. FIABCI  presents this award on an international basis to outstanding global scale real estate projects during its annual World Congress. Previously the Swedbank office in Kipsala – Saules akmens – was an award recipient at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence.  The Wall Street Journal sponsors the international award.

Ardi Roosimaa, president of FIABCI-Baltic (Estonia), points out: “By developing real estate, a value for many years is created and it determines the way we live our lives, the way we work, communicate and socialize. This requires outstanding vision, time and resources. The excellence award – FIABCI World Prix d’ Excellence – is just one of the many great initiatives introduced by the FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. It is one of the most influential awards and sets the standards in the real estate community all over the world!  We from FIABCI-Baltic group are proud to introduce you to this great competition, which is taking place in the region for the third time. We have made a serious effort in selecting the best projects and nominating them in order to compete for this world-class award, which, which, when received by the developers, will certainly attract the attention of the world’s real estate sector. It will also be possible to demonstrate one’s professionalism, best practice and creativity compared to other market participants.” Aigars Zarins, past president of FIABCI-Baltic (Latvia) explains: “At the moment the situation in the real estate market within the three Baltic States is considerably different. In Lithuania and Estonia the market for new projects (both in the residential and commercial objects’ segment) is developing much more rapidly when compared to Latvia. This forum will be a good possibility to exchange  experience and it will highlight new project development prospects for the local project developers and also representatives of financial institutions. It could be a good incentive for the promotion of new project development.   Such exchange of experiences is important for the real estate sector. Quite often it can be observed that the trends that occur, for example, in the Estonian market, become topical and also appear in Latvia a couple of years later, therefore it is important to “keep a finger on the pulse.” Mindaugas Statulevicius, past president of FIABCI-Baltic (Lithuania), describing the trends in the development of new projects in the real estate market of neighboring countries, explains “The Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association annually calculates the future index of the real estate market. This year, the index showed a tendency that the main focus of the Lithuanian real estate market is (and will be) in the commercial segment, mainly – office areas. Currently the living space offer is significant in the market, which keeps prices stable.  According to the estimates, next year the developers and customers will pay much greater attention to commercial objects.” He emphasizes that FIABCI and LANIDA jointly organized FIABCI Baltic Real Estate Development Forum in order to bring together investors, project developers, financial specialists and other interested parties working in the Baltic States and elsewhere in the world . “I hope that the forum will provide useful information through inspiring and interesting discussion sessions,” said Mr. Statulevicius.
